If you’re looking for a quick, nutritious, and flavor-packed meal, these Air Fryer Turkey Burgers with Homemade Greek Seasoning are sure to be your new go-to. Juicy on the inside with a perfectly crisp exterior, these burgers combine the lean, high-protein benefits of ground turkey with the bold, aromatic flavors of a custom Greek spice blend.
Oregano, garlic, and other Mediterranean-inspired herbs infuse every bite with savory depth—no store-bought seasoning packets needed.
Thanks to the air frying method, the cooking time for these burgers is under 15 minutes, with minimal cleanup needed! Plus, the high protein content makes it an ideal option for a filling meal.
Whether you’re meal prepping for the week or whipping up a satisfying dinner after a long day, this recipe delivers on both convenience and taste.
Serve it on a bun, over a salad, or wrapped in lettuce. No matter how you plate it, I hope this Greek-inspired turkey burger recipe will become a staple in your summer rotation.
Here’s what you need to make these Greek turkey burgers:
Here are the ingredients needed for the homemade Greek seasoning:
If you don’t have some of the suggested ingredients or you would like to make some adjustments, here are a few of my recommended substitutions:
Start by making the Greek seasoning. Mix the garlic powder and all of the herbs together in a small bowl and set aside. This will make a larger amount than what is needed in the recipe, so save the leftovers in an airtight container for a double batch of burgers or other future recipes!
It’s time to make the Greek turkey burger patties!
Now we cook the burgers according to your desired method.
There are countless ways that you could serve these Air Fryer Turkey Burgers. Let’s start with my favourite toppings:
You’re welcome to try any of these additional condiments and toppings as well:
Now for the sides. If your goal is to make this a balanced meal, we already have the protein and carbohydrate source covered with the burger patty and the bun. We just need to add some extra fibre through veggies or a salad. Feel free to keep it super simple and serve fresh veggies with a dip like tzatziki (use it on the burger too!) or hummus.
You might prefer to make an easy leafy green salad dressed with olive oil and a pinch of salt. Or maybe you’re really leaning into the Greek theme with a Greek salad. Either of these options would be delicious!
If you’re looking for more side dish options, consider:
You could even chop up the cooked burgers and toss them on a bed of greens or rice with veggies for a balanced salad or bowl. Something new to try!
However you decide to serve it, I hope it’s a crowd-pleasing meal!
Since the burgers should already be cooked before they are cooled and refrigerated or frozen, we don’t want to cook them too much more when reheating them.
Using the stovetop, heat a pan on low-medium heat and add 1 teaspoon of oil. Once this is heated, add the burger patty and a splash (about 1 tbsp) of water to the pan. Cover the pan with a lid and cook/steam the burger for a few minutes, or until heated through. Be careful not to overcook the patty.
Although microwaves are a very quick and convenient tool for reheating, they can dry out and overheat the burger patty so be cautious when using.
My goal is to encourage a more joyful, intuitive relationship with food, focusing on flavor and satisfaction rather than numbers. Because of this, I don’t normally calculate the calories of my recipes. Caloric amounts can also be inaccurate due to variations in ingredients and portions. However, I do like to highlight the beneficial nutrients that my recipes provide. This recipe makes about 4 burger patties. In each burger (without the bun) there is roughly:
As a dietitian, I aim to create recipes that can suit a variety of dietary considerations. This recipe is already dairy free and nut free.
