This Everything But the Bagel Dip is a great way to add flavour to your snacks. Pair it with veggies, crackers, sandwiches and more!
If you have ever tried the everything but the bagel (EBTB) dip from Trader Joe’s, this recipe will taste familiar to you. I wanted to recreate this dip to make sure I could make a healthy homemade version so that I wouldn’t have to travel to another country to get it!
You will love this recipe for many reasons. Firstly, it’s incredibly delicious. I have made and tasted a lot of vegetable and chip dips over the years but this one is up there as one of my favourites. I’m confident that you will feel the same once you give it a try!
Secondly, it requires minimal ingredients and only a few minutes to make. Once the everything bagel seasoning is prepared, or if you already have a batch made, the rest of the recipe is also very simple and straightforward! I honestly find that the hardest part of this recipe is getting the cream cheese out of the measuring cups!
Next, this dip is rich in protein. The Greek yogurt provides a great source of protein that can help us stay full and satisfied after snack time. It’s also gluten free, as long as you use gluten free seasonings in the EBTB blend. This makes the perfect recipe for entertaining guests who have dietary considerations.
This seasoning recipe is really easy to make at home and contains just 5 ingredients that you likely already have in your kitchen. All you need are these staples:

The best part of about this seasoning blend is that you just have to mix the ingredients together and store it in an airtight container. It takes less than 5 minutes and you can make big batches of it to use for multiple occasions and recipes.

I mentioned that this dip recipe is rich in protein and gluten free. If you want to make it dairy free, there are a couple of substitutions to make.
Instead of Greek yogurt you can use a plant-based yogurt. A lot of vegan yogurts are made with coconut milk so they can have a very strong coconut taste. Try to find one that is made from soy so it doesn’t have a significant coconut flavour.
If the goal is just to make the dip lactose free, you can use lactose free Greek yogurt instead of opting for a plant-based yogurt. This won’t alter the taste of the dip at all but it will make it easier to digest for anyone with lactose intolerance.
Instead of cream cheese, you can opt for a plant-based product. There are many vegan brands that are offering cream cheese products that taste really great! Remember to stick with a plain cream cheese instead of flavoured.
The Everything But the Bagel Seasoning is dairy free so no need to substitute anything for this!
Keep in mind that the dairy-free versions may have different protein contents compared to the original ingredients.
One of the best things about this dip is how versatile it is! It’s not too overwhelming to the point that it takes over the flavour of everything it’s paired with. It enhances so many meals and snacks, the possibilities are endless! Here are some of my favourite pairings so far:
