Pretzel Peanut Butter Bites

A quick and easy snack that combines sweet and savoury flavours all in one bite!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mini pretzels salted
  • ½ cup banana ~1 medium banana
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • ¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, mash the banana until smooth. Mix in the peanut butter and stir until combined.
  • Take 1 mini pretzel and scoop 1 tsp of the peanut butter banana mixture on top. Place another mini pretzel on top to sandwich the filling. Place on a plate or baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  • Once you have assembled all of the bites, add the chocolate chips to a microwave safe dish. Microwave in 20-30 second increments, stirring after each time, until fully melted.
  • Using a spoon, scoop up some of the melted chocolate and drizzle it over the pretzel peanut butter bites. Add as much or as little as you would like.
  • Enjoy immediately or place the bites in the fridge for 30-60 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened.

Notes

To make these:
  • Gluten free: opt for gluten free pretzels
  • Dairy free: use dairy free chocolate chips for the drizzle on top
  • Nut free: opt for a seed butter instead of peanut butter. Some options include pumpkin seed butter, sunflower seed butter or Wow butter.
  • Vegan: use vegan chocolate chips for the chocolate drizzle
