Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup quick oats
  • 1 tbsp Greek seasoning see below
  • 1 tsp crushed fresh garlic
  • 1/4 cup white onion diced
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill or 1 tsp dried dill
  • 1/2 tsp each of salt and pepper

Greek seasoning

  • 1 tbsp garlic salt or garlic powder + 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried rosemary

Garlic Dill Sauce

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 tbsp fresh dill
  • 1 tsp garlic salt or garlic powder + 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Start by making the Greek seasoning. Mix all of the herbs together and set aside. This will make a larger batch than what is needed in the recipe, so save the leftovers in a sealed container for upcoming recipes!
  • Next, make the Garlic Dill Sauce. In a small bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, dill and garlic salt. Mix together and adjust flavours as desired.⠀
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, oats, 1 tbsp Greek seasoning, onion, dill, salt and pepper. Stir well. Form into ~8 burger patties.
  • Cook according to your desired method (see below for instructions).
  • Once the burgers are cooked, spread a generous helping of Garlic Dill Sauce on your burger bun and place the burger on top. Serve with your choice of side salad and enjoy a well balanced and delicious meal!

Stovetop

  • To cook on the stovetop, heat 1 tbsp of oil on a medium-sized pan over medium-high heat.
  • Place the burger patties on the pan for 4-6 minutes (or until golden brown on the cooked side) and flip. Cook again for another 4-6 minutes, or until the burger is fully cooked through.

Grill

  • Lightly brush the burgers with vegetable oil and place on the grill at high heat. Grill for about 5 minutes and flip. Grill for another 5 minutes or until the burger is fully cooked through.

Notes

Swap the ground turkey for ground chicken or beef if this is more accessible and preferable to you.
