Lemon Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 10-12 raw shrimp
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1-2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp lemon zest grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Dried basil

Instructions

  • On medium-low heat, heat up the butter until melted and then add the olive oil.
  • Add the minced garlic and saute for 2-3 minutes or until fragrant.
  • Toss in the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes and then flip. Add the lemon zest to the shrimp and continue cooking until the shrimp is completely opaque.
  • Season with salt, pepper and dried basil.
  • Serve over pasta (linguine or rice pasta pair wonderfully as they are light noodles) or salad and enjoy!
